[05/07, 5:54 pm] Jeyamchok: 1. Parag Parikh FLEXICAP fund Direct Growth  or JM Flexicap fund Direct Growth

2. Motilal Oswal MIDCAP fund Direct Growth or Invesco India midcap fund Direct Growth

3. Bandhan SMALLCAP fund direct Growth or Tata small Cap fund Direct Growth

May put Rs 5000 in each category

[05/07, 5:54 pm] Jeyamchok: First lets analyse

why we should park Our major chunk of money in Large caps, then mid, then small caps.

Diversify percentage % wise... in Large cap, Middle cap. Small cap & Micro cap

Which is a ,Thumb rule for any one investing for Long time Horizon as per Mutual Fund advisors only....

Ideal percentage is somewhere between

LC 60% , MC 30%, SC 10%

 Or

LC 70%,  MC20%, SC 10%

[05/07, 5:54 pm] Jeyamchok: Important Considerations:

- Past performance is not indicative of future results:

While these funds have performed well, there's no guarantee of similar returns in the future.

Risk Tolerance:

Small-cap and mid-cap funds tend to be more volatile than large-cap funds, so assess your risk tolerance before investing.

Diversification:

It's generally recommended to diversify your investments across different asset classes and fund types.

[05/07, 5:54 pm] Jeyamchok: 1. PPFAS flexicap fund

2. Nippon Growth Fund

3. Nippon small cap fund

4. HDFC mid cap fund.

First one is a flexi cap fund with some exposure to four top US tech stocks like Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook and Alphabet ( Google parent company).

Second one is a Large & Mid cap fund.

Third one is predominantly a small cap fund.

Fourth is a  predominantly Mid cap fund.

All the four are established AMCs with good reputation.

All the above completed a minimum of 10 years since launch and showed good performance and good risk to reward ratio.

Few months back, I mentioned that I am closing some 30 lakhs worth of bank deposits and investing in Mutual funds depending on market conditions.

Since the sharp fall in markets, from the third week of March, I started investing in the above four funds almost on a daily basis in small amounts like a minimum of 25k per day and completed more than 28L till date, because in the coming days, interest rates on bank deposits are definitely going to fall, as a response to RBI rate cut and present and likely future lower inflation figures.

Since I studied their history, long term performance, overall portfolio P/E ratio,  Portfolio P/ B ratio and other risk parameters of the above four funds  like Standard Deviation, Alpha etc, a bit in detail, I am of the opinion, that they are good to invest for medium to long term of 5 years and beyond.

So, I don't have any hesitation in suggesting them.

They may underperform in some years, but seen to catch up in subsequent years to come up in the first quartile of performing funds.

However, it is always preferable to watch their performance every year ( but not more frequently than one year).

Either you can make the total SIP amount as 20k ( 5k each in the above four funds or 3.75k each month in the above four as per your wish).

Regards.

[05/07, 5:54 pm] Jeyamchok: I have intentionally avoided exclusive Large Cap funds because of the following reasons

1. A few biggest large cap stocks like Reliance, HDFC Bank, HUL, ITC etc have not given good return for more than 5 years

2. Flexicap, Midcap & Small cap funds also will have some exposure in large cap stocks

3. 5-10 years returns of Flexicap, midcap & small Cap funds have been way better than large cap funds.

In case anyone particular about investment in large caps only, better select large cap index funds

I didn't include most popular Nippon or HDFC funds because of their HUGE AUM size
